About the Maker:
For over 30 years, Bjarne Pipes has been supplying the world with unique affordable freehands. Since he was 16 years of age, Bjarne Nielsen has been a pipesmoker. An MBA Graduate from the University of Copenhagen, Bjarne specialized in Foreign Trade and worked for the Danish Mistry of Foreign Affairs. Although his job as a Commercial Counselor to assist Danish Companies export their products was secure, Bjarne was not satisfied. From his experience in the Foreign trade market, Bjarne saw a high demand for Danish Freehand Pipes in the United States. In 1973 he decided to leave his job and start making pipes to send the the United States. Today, Bjarne Nielsen makes a few pipes that are usually of high grade, and he has employed a host of pipemakers in his workshop to make the standard lines of Freehands and Classical shapes. Beautiful in shape and form, these great smoking Danish pipes are reasonably priced and perform well. These freehands are sometimes semi-traditionals, and generally display very nice grain. Each Bjarne Pipe is completely handmade, and each is one of a kind.
