About the maker:
Kai is the oldest son of a legendary Danish pipe maker Viggo Nielsen. Kai's hard work and love for the craft was evident in each pipe he made during the 1970's. His designs were soon noticed and admired by many. Kai Nielsen selects only the finest aged briar, most of which is Corsican. He also air cures the briar to provide exceptional smoking qualities. His handcut acrylic and Cumberland stems are works of art. Nielsen pipes are available in the following models: Kai Nielsen and Niels Bro. They are offered in smooth and sandblast finishes, and there are five grades available: V/VV/VVV/VVVV/VVVVV. Kai's production is limited to approximately 1.000 pipes per year.

Description:
This is a small, beautiful freehand based on Dublin and Bulldog shapes and with Cumberland stem. Although not very deep, the sandblast finish is very detailed, and the smooth area on top of the bowl shows nice birdseye grain patterns. This pipe comes with the Kai Nielsen leather sleeve and box.

Condition:
100/100 This pipe is in mint condition and has not been smoked.
