About the maker:
Giancarlo Guidi left Mastro de Paja to found Ser Jacopo in the 1980s. This company is a true representative of a 'Pesaro style', involving slightly nostalgic design elements and excellent grain. Great care is taken to ensure the pipe is drilled, shaped and finished to the highest standards. All Ser Jacopo pipes are made from the highest grade plateau briar available.

Description:
Maxima is the designation given to Ser Jacopo pipes which are larger than normal. The oversized plateaux briar needed to make such large pipes has become quite rare. Therefore, production of oversized pipes has become very limited as well. This calabash shows some beautiful ring- and straight grain in relief. The black Lucite mouthpiece is very thin and comfortable, as you would expect from Ser Jacopo.
